4K are learning about data handling in Computing. We have been learning about what a spreadsheet is and how to use them. We used colour and text to play a game of battleships, it was so much fun! 🚢 💻

4K have been busy in Science creating an information wheel all about the stages of the water cycle.

We enjoyed our Spanish cafe!

4K enjoyed at the Hindu Mandir, learning more about the Hindu religion.

4K have been busy in Art using different painting techniques to design an apple!

4B’s class assembly on Fantastically Great Women!

4K have been busy in History learning about the Anglo-Saxons. We have been looking at the different kingdoms in Britain and how they were ruled. We also used the Atlas to find different city names in England to see what they would have meant in Anglo-Saxon times.

4D had a lot of fun in their Anglo Saxon topic this year. They especially loved going outside and writing their own names using the Anglo Saxon alphabet Runes. They had to use sticks as they could only write in straight lines!

4K had a brilliant Science, we completed an investigation about the weight of gases in a fizzy drink! Our results showed that Coke has the most carbon dioxide in it.

4B’s Christmas Decorations Day.

4D learnt a lot about teeth in Science. They were looking at how different substances can affect your teeth's enamel. They experimented on egg shells to see what would happen over time when left in vinegar, coffee and water. They found the vinegar egg had dissolved the whole shell leaving behind a squishy membrane.

Remember, you must protect your enamel! 🦷

4K have been working really hard in English to write their speeches to persuade the audience to vote for them to become the Prime Minister. They performed their speeches with passion to the class! 🎤

4D had fun performing their speeches about climate change in English. We have been continuing to work on our Persuasive writing and they have used some fantastic language!

Joe Roebuck, an Olympic swimmer, came to tell us all about his career. We were lucky enough to complete a circuit with him to music, cheering each other on and having lots of fun. Thank you to everyone who has already sent in their sponsorship forms and money. Let’s raise as much money as possible! 🏊‍♂️ 🏅

4K have been enjoying Geography this term. We have used the Atlas to find where the different regions, cities, rivers and famous landmarks are in the UK, to label on our maps! We have also completed a regions quiz and drawn famous landmarks from Leicester!

In DT, 4K have been practicing building structures for a pavilion using cocktail sticks and play dough.

In DT, 4D got to learn about Pavilions, plan how to make their own, experiment with their ideas and then finally make them!

4K have been very busy in Computing! 💻 We created our own animations of the sun and moon on Google slides, they all looked brilliant! ☀️ 🌙

4K had lots of fun in Science. We have been learning about the different types of teeth and why they are important. We used mirrors to look at our teeth and to label the incisors, molars and canines. We also experimented how our teeth work with tasty apples. 🍎 🦷

4K enjoyed a brilliant day at Leicester Museum, learning all about the Ancient Egyptians!

In PE, 4K used their teamwork and problem solving skills to make their way through a tunnel, like a caver!

4K having fun on Languages Day! 🇳🇴🇵🇱🇵🇹🇯🇵🇫🇷 We have been learning all about Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿, and even learnt to say some numbers, colours and pets in Welsh!
