I am delighted to introduce myself as the headteacher of St John the Baptist Church of England Primary School. Our pupils are kind, caring and have a real thirst for learning. All of our staff are committed to ensuring that the children have the best possible start to their educational lives by building strong relationships not only with the children but with our families too. Our parents are fantastically supportive and we love to invite them in to engage with the school in many different ways. Our Governors are a talented, hard working bunch of people who ask me all the right questions and put the children at the heart of every decision.
Our school is a happy, diverse and inclusive school. Our children speak 38 languages and genuinely embrace their cultural and religious differences, talking openly about their own beliefs and practices to help their classmates fully understand each other. We encourage our children to know the school core School, Christian and British values and to demonstrate them in everything they do. The children astound me with their enthusiasm for helping others both in school, the local community and globally.
We have lots of fun and we work hard and this is shown by the results and the happy faces and welcoming atmosphere throughout our school. St John’s is a fantastic school in the heart of the city – showcasing all that is best about Leicester.
If you want to know more about anything at our lovely school please contact us. I operate an open door policy and the welcome is always warm.
