I have taught at St John’s school for many years, starting off in FS2 and year 1 which I really enjoyed. I am currently teaching in year 6 and am relishing the change as well as teaching some children who I taught previously, despite the fact that many of them are now taller than me! Classes have described me as “kind, generous, bright and chatty” and I was previously described as “our school mummy” by children in one of my FS2 classes. I am known around school for always smiling and having a distinctive giggle.
I have a particular interest in teaching RE and love organising RE events throughout the school. It is lovely to see how much the children value learning about a variety of faiths so that they can understand and respect other people’s opinions.
When I am not in school, I like to spend time reading, going to the theatre, walking in the countryside and the coast.
