Foundation Stage

Here are some websites and ideas to help you keep your children busy during this challenging time! You can also check the specific subject pages for  more detailed information. We are putting daily ideas on Weduc and would love to see what you are getting up to on Tapestry. If you are unsure how to access Tapestry just send your child's class teacher a message on Weduc and they will be able to help you. Remember that in EYFS it is so important that your child spends lots of time playing outside and following their own interests. Learning should be done in short bursts and should always be fun! smiley
English, Phonics & Reading
  • Phonics Play Here you can access lots of phonics games -remember we are working at Phase Three
  • Tricky Words Song This is a song that we sing everyday to help the children remember some of their Sight Words
  • Phonics Play Comics Here you can find lots of fun short stories to help your child practise their phonics
  • Oxford Owl Here you will find a huge range of ebooks suitable for a range of abilities.
  • Twinkl This website has a huge range of ebooks and special "Phoneme Spotter" stories that each focus on a specific sound. Here you will also find a large selection of activities to support your child across the curriculum.
  • Storytime with Nick Films of well-loved stories read by Nick Cannon, a trained actor, teacher and trainer.
  • Pobble A new image is published each day as a basis for creative writing. Story starters, questions and drawing ideas are provided.
  • Coronavirus A book for children illustrated with the illustrator of The Gruffalo.
Maths
  • Sumdog Here you can access games and activities set by your childs teacher. You will have been given a username and password for your child, if you have misplaced these just send your class teacher a message on Weduc and they can resend you your child information.
Physical Development
  • Cosmic Yoga The children are familiar with Cosmic Yoga. These videos are great for excercise as well as improving mindfulness and overall wellbeing.
  • Boogie Beebies Videos that get younger children up and dancing with CBeebies presenters.
  • Disney 10 Minute Shake-ups 10-minute activities based on Disney films that count towards a child’s 60 active minutes per day.
Personal, Social & Emotional Development
  • Bitesize Here you can access lots of video clips about a range of topics including friendships, emotional wellbeing and staying healthy.
Expressive Arts and Design
  • Out of the Ark Here you can find daily songs to have a go at! Singing is great for wellbeing and positivity!
  • Pinterest Pinterest has lots of great ideas for easy and exciting crafts that you can do at home!
Understanding the World
  • First Discoverers Here are some great ideas for simple Science experiments you could do at home.
  • Bitesize Here you can watch a range of clips exploring different faiths.
